It gets better

By Charley Lang

This video was made as part of the ‘It gets better’ online outreach to LGBT teens, challenging the oppressive effects of homophobia. Charley Lang has been swimming in the narrative pool for the past 15 years, as educator, counsellor, and filmmaker. He engages strong postmodern themes in the ongoing re-development of the psychology curriculum at Antioch University Los Angeles, while his clients enjoy collaborative, resource-oriented consultation in his private practice (narrativecouplescenter.com). Additionally, he is director of the year-long narrative training program for therapists at the California Family Counseling Center. Always on the lookout for new and inspiring alternative stories, Charley produced and directed several award-winning documentary films, including Gay cops: Pride behind the badge (dakotafilmworks.com). He welcomes the opportunity the hear from other narratively-inclined colleagues from around the planet. To do so, please email narrativeguy@yahoo.com.
