To conclude this project, a special event was held to which all young people and family members were invited. This was a chance to showcase all the different Teams of Life and letters that had been created. It was also a chance to award certificates to the young people and to genuinely thank them for their contributions to this project.
As many of the young people had expressed an interest in the arts, we invited members of the cast of the Team of Life Theatre production to attend this extravaganza. This cast includes Aboriginal singer/songwriter Kutcha Edwards and a number of young performers who have come to Australia as refugees from South Sudan. The cast offered powerful witness responses to the young people. The songs and dances they shared were also thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
