This free online course conveys the stories, principles and practices of the Just Therapy Team from the Family Centre in Lower Hutt Aotearoa New Zealand!
You will find here a series of moving and engaging videos filmed specially for this resource alongside key texts and interviews.
Through nine chapters you will have the chance to learn about the Just Therapy team’s cultural partnerships; their key values of belonging, sacredness and liberation; and their profound practices of cultural and gender accountability. A range of community and research projects are also described including the groundbreaking Stop Abuse Project and the cultural ways of understanding and responding to mental health struggles. In later chapters, Taimalieutu Kiwi Tamasese and Charles Waldegrave respond to video questions asked by practitioners from Rwanda, India and Brazil. And don’t forget to watch the off-takes!
