My area of interest is mental health and I have been working in an early intervention non-clinical setting with 8-12 year olds. I completed Narrative Therapy Level One Intensive at the Dulwich Centre in 2015 and really enjoyed it; the training also greatly informed my practice. I hope to network and share ideas, stories and applications of Narrative therapy in practice. I am also keen to explore the possibility of creating or joining a peer supervision group.

Particular interests and hopes for connection: As far as I can tell I'm the only Narrative Therapist in the state of Alaska... though I'm working on that! I've most recently been interested in how folks might practice Narrative in other areas of their lives: as a construction worker, doctor, community activist, parent, cashier, etc. In April 2017 presented on this in Fairbanks' 2nd TEDx event- see online.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints & work with a lot of our members. I am also interested in: Dignified Defiance, anxiety, White Privilege/colonialization, Relational Accountability, & whatever else wanders into conversations that calls for recognition. I am interested in Engaged Supervision/ Apprenticeship & will be a State of Alaska MFT Supervisor in December 2018, though I've done some unofficial Narrative supervision.

Particular interests and hopes for connection: Social justice, queer theory, intersectional feminism, and a passion for deconstructing and dismantling the ever so oppressive institutions and systems we have in place which have been arbitrarily constructed by folks who have attained the power, authority, entitlement, and privilege to somehow dictate the narratives of marginalized populations. I grow weary as to how my queer, trans, people of color, and neurodivergent communities are subject to a plethora of problems that have been able to infiltrate and co-op their lives.
In forming connections with narrative practitioners around the globe, I feel like we can all work together to build up communities of support for the people we care about most; this will allow for our loved ones to regain authorship rights and their autonomy at distance from problems.
I work with Dr. David Nylund in our humble little city of Sacramento, CA. I have met quite a few of you at TC '12.

Particular interests and hopes for connection: I am currently attending Antioch University Los Angeles and finishing my last 2 quarters in the MAP (Clinical Psych Masters Degree) program in order to become an LMFT, and have been doing my clinical site work since October 2019 at Miracle Mile Community Practice under the incredible supervision of Narrative Practitioner David Marsten. I discovered Narrative Therapy while getting an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Antioch, thanks to a handful of wonderful Narrative teachers ie Charley Lang, Lucy Cotter, Caley O’Dwyer and many more. I also hold immense regard for the work of Foucault and ideas informed by Post-Modernism. I am grateful everyday for this model of therapy and am quite certain I could never practice in any other modality. I look forward to building ties with the larger Narrative community as I continue to explore and develop my therapeutic voice, and consider my role as a curious witness and collaborator with others as an honor and privilege.
